Great conditions and course

4.5/5 – Elbow Springs (Mountain View & Springs)Played the Mountain View and Springs nines at Elbow Springs and really liked the combo. Course was in excellent shape — fairways soft and clean, greens true and rolling nicely, bunkers looking sharp. Nothing beat up or patchy. Mountain View is the easier, more open side. Plenty of room off the tee, only a few water holes, and lots of straightforward par 4s that let you get into a rhythm. Still has some fun risk-reward spots (especially that par-5 4th if you can hit a good drive) and gets a bit tougher toward the end with the well-guarded par-3 8th.Springs is the more interesting nine. More of a thinking course — water and out-of-bounds come into play a lot, so you have to pick your spots. Nice elevated views on a few holes, and the signature par-3 7th (full carry over water) is a cool test. The finishing hole also forces a decision with the water short of the green.Together they make a really solid, enjoyable 18. Good variety without being overly hard or tricked up, and the conditions made it even better. Not the longest or most dramatic layout you’ll find, but for pure playability and how well it’s kept, hard to complain. Would happily play this pairing again.
