One of the better courses in West Valley of Phoenix

This is a Nicklaus Design golf course and Troon managed facility, so you know that it has some good roots. I have played this course before and recently played it again. I will base this review partially on my previous experience and partly on my recent experience. Currently, the course has "summer conditions" which I would say is worse than your typical dry spots. Currently, there are sections of the green of many holes that has been cut out. Now, to the club's credit, the green fees are heavily discounted. What you would experience in March is very different than August. The course has a nice layout. There is a good variety of holes and challenges for all golfers. You will have some dog-leg holes, you also have many that have a "wash" area that will force you to make the decision to "go for it" or "lay up". The last 3 holes are the best on the course with some nice elevation changes and some great views of the west valley. Driving range is included in fees and golf carts do have GPS. All in all, this is one of the better courses in the West Valley, just temper your expecations based upon the time of year.
