A Decent Round

We played here in early August, so course was in summer conditions in the valley, so take that into consideration. Let's start with the Proshop. It was a really nice facility, with lots of GCU gear. Friendly staff and there is a restaurant on-site. The course is a links style course, the tee boxes were in good shape as were the fairways. There was a lot of bunkers on the course to help add some challenges. It is very flat, so you don't have that element to deal with. Because it is a links style course, I can see the opportunity for lots of errant balls flying all over the place. It was not busy when we were there so it wasn't an issue. The greens were in good shape. There was some undalation, but nothing too crazy. The fringes were in particularly poor shape, but I will give the course a break, it has been been very hot in Phoenix lately. The driving range was closed, but that is due to some rennovations. Looks like they are installing some Trackman tech, so this could be a great addition to the course. This course does have some deals advertised on Golf Moose (https://golfmoose.com/) so check that out before you book. I am not sure I would go out of my way to golf at this course, but if you are nearby and the price is right, I would check it out. The staff was great.
