Green Spring Golf Course is one of those courses that surprises you. The scenery stands out right away. You get red rock views, elevation changes, and some really unique holes that you don’t see at most public courses. The layout feels creative, especially with holes that play over canyons and desert terrain. It keeps the round interesting from start to finish. The best part of the course is easily the design. Holes like the par 3 5th and par 4 6th are memorable and force you to commit to your shots. It’s a good mix of risk and reward, and it makes you think instead of just swinging. The value is also strong compared to other courses in the St. George area, which makes it worth playing even if it’s not the absolute top-tier option. There are some downsides. The difficulty can be a bit much, especially for higher handicaps. Some holes feel borderline unfair with forced carries over ravines and very little room for error. Pace of play can also be slow, which takes away from the experience. Course conditions are usually solid, but you might run into small issues like unfixed ball marks or occasional rough patches. Overall, it’s a fun course with a lot of personality. Not perfect, but definitely worth a round if you’re in southern Utah. You get great views, some unforgettable holes, and solid value. Just be ready for a challenge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XStFkWd1xeM
