Great Resort Course

This golf course is part of the Marriott vacation resort property in Palm Desert, California. We played in August, so the course was understandably a bit dry and there were a few patchy spots on the fringe, but all in all in good (reasonable) shape for the conditions. The green fees are much lower in the summer, so good value overall. Because of the heat, we didn't have much congestion on the course at all and were able to move through it quite quickly. There is a range and and balls are included. The golf carts do have GPS and they do have filtered water with ice throughout the. course which is great. As for the course itself, Nick Faldo, took no mercy with the sand traps. There are a lot of them. There is also some water and he has strategically placed these bunkers to force the golfer to make some strategic decisions. So all in all, be prepared to be challenged, which was fun to experience. We did stay at the same resort which did make going to the course convenient. The resort is quite big, there are several complexes, but also has several pools so you never feel super crowded because people are spreadout over a large property.
