Torrey Pines Golf Course is one of the most famous public courses you can play. The views are the main thing. You’re right on the ocean, especially on the South Course, and it looks unreal almost the whole round. The course itself is tough. Long holes, thick rough, and small fairways make it a real test. The South Course is the harder one and has hosted the U.S. Open, so it feels like a big deal. The North Course is easier but still really nice. The course is usually in good shape. Fairways are clean and greens roll well. It feels like a high-level course, not just a random public track. There’s also a good practice area and the whole place has that tournament feel. The bad part is how slow it can be. Rounds can take over five hours. It also costs a lot if you’re not local, and getting a tee time can be tough. Some holes start to feel the same after a while since a lot of them are long and straight. It’s still worth playing for the views and the experience. Just expect a long round and a bit of a grind.
