Nelly Korda Teams Up With Olivia Cowan For LPGA Tour Team Event

Nelly Korda is heading into the LPGA Tour’s Dow Championship with a surprising teammate. The world No. 1 will play alongside Olivia Cowan at the two player team event in Michigan, creating one of the tournament’s most talked about pairings. Cowan currently sits 178th in the world rankings, more than 170 places behind Korda.

Despite the large ranking gap, Cowan brings strong experience to the team. The German star owns four professional victories, including the 2022 Hero Women’s Indian Open on the Ladies European Tour. She also recorded a top 10 finish at the 2023 AIG Women’s Open, showing she can compete on big stages.

Korda enters the event in dominant form after bouncing back from a winless 2025 season. She has already collected multiple victories in 2026, including the Chevron Championship, where she captured her third major title and returned to world No. 1.

The Dow Championship uses a format similar to the PGA Tour’s Zurich Classic, mixing foursomes and four ball rounds across the week. Korda has often teamed up with her sister Jessica in past editions, but this year she and Cowan will try to challenge a strong field that includes several top ranked LPGA stars and defending champions.
