Tiger Woods Set To Miss All 2026 Majors After Open Championship Decision
Tiger Woods reportedly did not enter the 2026 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, meaning the 15 time major champion is expected to miss all four majors for the second straight season.

Tiger Woods will reportedly miss every major championship in 2026 after failing to enter next month’s Open Championship before the deadline. The decision means Woods is now expected to sit out all four majors for the second consecutive year as questions continue surrounding his future in professional golf.
The 50 year old does not currently hold an exemption into the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, and he had already missed both the Masters and PGA Championship earlier this season. Woods has not competed in an official event since 2024 as injuries and personal issues continue to delay any comeback plans.
Reports say Woods had originally hoped to return sometime during the 2026 season after recovering from another Achilles injury and back surgery. Those plans changed following a March rollover crash in Florida that led to a DUI arrest and another rehabilitation stay in Switzerland.
Even with his absence continuing, Woods still remains one of golf’s biggest figures. The three time Open champion and 15 time major winner last captured a major title at the 2019 Masters, one of the most memorable victories in modern golf history. For now, though, fans will have to wait longer to see if he can make another return to competitive golf.
